Here is a quick and energizing recipe, full of good nutrients, that makes a perfect midday pick-me-up. Almonds are a great source for vitamin E and magnesium, while the banana provides potassium, yogurt the calcium and coffee adds a nice kick of energy!
I created this recipe for the Almond board of California, for a fun event they organized in Milan this week.
Energizing smoothie with almonds and espresso
- 3.5 oz/100 g plain yogurt
- 1 shot espresso
- 1/3 cup milk (or almond or coconut milk)
- 1/3 cup whole almonds
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
