Food-blogging Family

There’s a beautiful initiative going on in the Italian food-blogging community that shows the solidarity and motivation of this extraordinary group.
Earlier this month, flooding in Genoa devastated countless homes and business, smashing dreams and touching thousands of lives. Amongst those touched was fellow food-blogger Chiara of Tocco e Tacchi, who had opened her dream restaurant “Officina di Cucina” only three months before. She watched as all those months of passion, hard work, enthusiasm and dreams were washed away overnight.

Then the her friends from the web decided to take action. A facebook page was created, a fund set up, appliances donated, and lots of energy dedicated to helping out  a friend many have never even met personally. It’s an inspiring effort and I think all of the organizers deserve a huge thank you from all of us. Roberta, Mariachiara, Babs, and all the others who have rallied around this cause, Thank you! You are inspiring and generous with your time and energy.
