Thanksgiving for 30!

by Laurel on November 26, 2009

As much as I love to cook in my own kitchen, with my own music playing and utilizing all my own beloved pots, pans, knives and toys, there are some dinners that call for backup.

Thanksgiving dinner for 30 people is one of those jobs, and Giuliano Cingoli was my backup! Giuliano is a friend of mine who is a catering chef and has a fabulous professional kitchen on the other side of town where he cooks delicious dinners for huge crowds, and also gives fun and informative cooking classes. He invited me to cook my Thanksgiving dinner there with him, and I leapt at the chance. Cooking a nerve-wracking dinner under the watchful eye of an experienced and calm caterer? Who could ask for more?

It was an absolute pleasure… and talk about toys! Enormous pots and pans, an oven that shot steam at will, everything I possibly imagined needing was at my fingertips, including the invaluable advice of Giuliano. Here are some pics from the day!
